January 7, 2009: I realised that I haven’t updated this page at all. Ever.  I figured it was time.

I was always told that it’s okay to talk to yourself as long as you don’t start a conversation. Since I’m asking and answering questions here, I wonder where this falls.

What’s satisfiction?

In a fit of genius, I combined the words satisfaction and fiction to create satisfiction! Yay. It basically relates to my love of literature and story telling in all forms. It’s satisfying fiction. It also kind of alludes to the happy lies we tell ourselves to get through the day.

Why the blog?

Really and truly, I did it on a whim. I’m hoping it will be a good writing outlet and I’m looking forward to improving it. It’s a great opportunity for me to connect with others on the internet, become a part of the online community, and really practice my writing. After all, it’s out there for everyone to see. I want it to be my best.

Who’s Lindsay?

Why, the mastermind behind this whole crazy adventure, of course.

I’m a young woman living in the Greater Toronto Area (at this point living with my mother, but soon to be off to college in the actual Toronto city). I’m interested in current events, literature, language and social issues. I love books, music and movies. I hope to be bringing these things to you.

I don’t eat meat (with the exception being a couple times a week this year since I’m having the ever-vague “health problems”) and I love taking photos. I, however, wouldn’t have the audacity to call myself an amateur photographer. I also like purple, my adorable goldfish Piggy, not wearing shoes or socks, learning for learning’s sake, The Simpsons, Chuck Pahlaniuk books, Matthew Good music, and great movies like Stay and Donnie Darko.
