What a trek

Deciding to go for my own blog was easy, getting the blog up was an ordeal. I’m kind of particular about blogs. This is a virtual representation of me, mostly to people I’ve never had interaction with before. This drove me to spend a couple hours going through all available themes and tweaking possible heading pictures. I thought my head was going to pop. Well, here I am, finally satisfied with the theme and picture (one which I’m glad to say I shot myself) and I’m happy to see it online. What took another length of forever was deciding what websites to add to my link lists. You wouldn’t think that would take so long; they’re just websites I like… Again, though, these are websites that at a glance can tell a stranger a lot about me and my tastes.

In case you aren’t that interpretive, let me share a bit. My name is Lindsay, I’m 18 and I live in Toronto. I’m a photographer and a writer. Now I’m a blogger too. Philosophically, I’m a feminist, and for more about this belief system please check out Feministing. It’s the blog that truly inspired me to write. Diet-wise, I’m a vegetarian, and have been for a few years now. I started on a whim and just don’t miss the meat enough to go back. I learned that it’s the sauces, spices and preparation that make the dish.

I can’t wait to get seriously into this blog and bring you more from me. Thank you so much to my good friend Emily who put up with a good hour of me accosting her with “how’s this theme look? What about with this heading picture? Or this text colour?” and whose support seriously kept me motivated and on task.

Good lord. You know you’re tired when the idea of putting pants on is just too much after a long day.
